18-carat gold: the standard of fine jewelry

18-carat gold (marked 750/1000 or 18K) contains 75% pure gold, alloyed with 25% complementary metals — copper and silver for yellow gold, copper and palladium for rose gold. It is the benchmark alloy in luxury jewelry. Since pure gold (24 carats) is too malleable for a bracelet worn every day, these complementary metals give it the necessary hardness and strength without compromising its nobility. Unlike gold plating — a thin layer of a few microns destined to wear away — solid gold is homogeneous throughout its thickness: it does not tarnish, does not oxidize, and is a transmissible object designed to last.

Our gold bracelet models

Our selection brings together several signature models, each named after a first name and available in three sizes (very small, small and medium), in yellow gold as well as rose gold:

  • Fine-link bracelets — such as the Tancrède, Léontine, Simone or Odilon models, with delicate and luminous links, perfect for discreet wear or layering.
  • Classic-link bracelets — such as Hector, Géraud, Gaspard or Marceau, with timeless elegance that complements every outfit.
  • Bold-link bracelets — such as Léonce, Albin or Sigismond, with a more assertive character for a confident presence on the wrist.

Our selection includes time-tested jewelry models as well as exclusive creations from the house. Our bracelets, with a thickness ranging from 1 mm to 2.5 mm, are proportioned to be worn alone, stacked, or alongside a watch. Also discover our 925 sterling silver bracelets and our natural stone bracelets.

Yellow gold or rose gold

Yellow gold is the great classic, luminous and sunlit: a timeless choice that pairs magnificently with gold timepieces, such as a Vintage Rolex Watch or an antique Piaget. Rose gold, with a more coppery tone, brings a contemporary touch and pairs spectacularly with steel watches, creating a highly sought-after two-tone effect. The two shades can also be layered on the same wrist, for a strong stylistic signature.

The pairing of a gold bracelet and a vintage watch

Pairing an gold bracelet with a vintage watch is the collectors’ art of living Atelier Victor :

  • Yellow gold and gold watch — the ultimate harmony, enhancing the brilliance of an antique gold watch.
  • Rose gold and steel watch — the perfect contrast: rose gold warms cool steel, in the spirit of two-tone watches.
  • Yellow gold and steel watch — the classic mix, like the two-tone models Omega or Cartier (opt for a slender bracelet).
  • Layering yellow gold and rose gold — contemporary stacking, for a golden gradient on the wrist.

Made in Dubai

Dubai is a historic hub for the trade and crafting of gold. Our bracelets are fashioned by master goldsmiths, custodians of renowned savoir-faire. The gold hallmark is specified on each product sheet and stamped on the jewel. Each piece is delivered in its Atelier Victor case and covered by a lifetime authenticity guarantee.

Gold care

18-carat gold is one of the most manageable precious metals: it does not oxidize and resists water. Cleaning with lukewarm water, mild soap, and drying with a microfiber cloth is enough to restore its shine. Micro-scratches from daily wear are normal and contribute to the jewel’s patina; a professional polish in atelier will restore its original appearance if you wish. Store your bracelet in its case to prevent it from rubbing against other metals or hard stones.

International shipping & appointments in Dubai

Each men’s gold bracelet is rigorously inspected, placed in its signature case, and shipped with free shipping, insurance included, and tracking. For our clients residing in Dubai, we offer the opportunity to discover our pieces during private appointments.

Frequently Asked Questions — Men’s 18-carat gold bracelets

What is the difference between 18-carat gold and gold-plated?
18-carat gold is a solid metal, composed of 75% pure gold, homogeneous throughout its thickness. Gold-plated is only a thin layer of a few microns deposited on a base metal, which eventually wears away over time. A solid gold bracelet does not tarnish, does not oxidize, and can be passed down through several generations.

Do you offer 14-carat gold?
Our selection is mainly crafted in 18-carat gold (750/1000), the standard in fine jewelry. Certain pieces, notably gemstone-set bracelets, are offered in 14-carat gold (585/1000, or 58.5% pure gold): a harder alloy, particularly suited to stone settings. The exact hallmark is always indicated on the product sheet and stamped on the jewel.

Can you wear a gold bracelet every day?
Yes. Gold resists water and perspiration, and does not oxidize. You can wear it every day; like any gold piece of jewelry, which remains a relatively soft metal, it is simply advisable to avoid impacts and abrasive rubbing in order to preserve its polish. For intensive wear, choose a thickness of 1.5 mm or more.

How should you choose between yellow gold and rose gold?
Yellow gold is the timeless classic, warm and radiant. Rose gold, with its coppery reflections, offers a softer, more contemporary alternative, particularly beautiful alongside stainless steel. Both tones are ideal for layering.

How do you determine the correct bracelet size?
Measure your wrist circumference with a tape measure. Add 0.5 cm for a close fit, or 1 to 1.5 cm for a looser fit. If in doubt, our team is at your disposal, and the made-to-measure option is available.

18-Carat Gold: The Standard of Jewelry

18-carat gold (noted 750/1000 or 18K) contains 75% pure gold, alloyed with 25% complementary metals — copper and silver for yellow gold, copper and palladium for rose gold. It is the reference alloy in luxury jewelry, the standard required by the most prestigious houses. Pure gold (24 carats, 999/1000) being too malleable for a bracelet worn daily, these 25% complementary metals provide the hardness and resistance needed without ever compromising its nobility.

What distinguishes 18-carat gold from gold-plated is fundamental: solid gold is homogeneous throughout its thickness. It does not wear out, does not oxidize, and does not reveal any base metal over time. In contrast, gold-plated is just a thin layer (a few microns) deposited on brass, destined to wear away in friction areas. An 18-carat gold bracelet is a transmissible object, designed to pass through generations without the slightest alteration.

Yellow Gold vs Rose Gold

Yellow gold — The classic, bright, and sunny gold. Its alloy preserves the original color of the precious metal. It is the timeless choice par excellence: an 18K yellow gold retains the same warmth today as it did 50 years ago. It pairs magnificently with yellow gold timepieces (Rolex Day-Date, Cartier Tank Louis, Piaget Polo).

Rose gold — With a more coppery and warm tone, rose gold brings a decidedly contemporary and distinctive touch. It blends spectacularly with steel watches, the contrast between the cold metal and the warmth of rose gold creating a highly sought-after two-tone effect. The two shades can also be layered: combining yellow gold and rose gold on the same wrist is a strong stylistic signature.

Types of Links

Paperclip Link

Elongated and geometric links reminiscent of a paperclip. It is the most contemporary and structured design in our collection. Its clean lines make it the ultimate trendy bracelet, a new classic in men's jewelry.

Snake Link

Flat and perfectly interlocking links forming a continuous, fluid ribbon with absolute brilliance. This "second skin" effect makes the snake chain the most minimalist choice. Designed to slip under a cuff or accompany a watch discreetly.

Forçat Chain

The alternation of round or oval links makes the forçat chain the timeless classic of the gold chain. Robust, with evident elegance and impervious to fashion trends, it is the default masculine bracelet, adapting to all situations.

Twisted Chain

Links that wrap around themselves to create a spiral relief and a dynamic play of light. The twisted chain adds texture and an extra touch of soul for a bold masculine style.

Ball Chain

A succession of gold spheres creating an original and luminous design. The ball chain captures light from all angles. Highly distinctive, it excels particularly in stacking with other bracelets or bangles.

The Gold Bracelet and Vintage Watch Harmony

Pairing a gold bracelet with a vintage watch is the art of living for collectors Atelier Victor:

  • Yellow gold and yellow gold watch — The absolute harmony. A yellow gold bracelet enhances the brilliance of a Rolex Datejust or an old Piaget.
  • Rose gold and steel watch — The perfect contrast. Rose gold warms the cold steel for an effect of two-tone chic, in the spirit of the famous Rolesor watches.
  • Yellow gold and steel watch — The classic mix. Like the famous two-tone models from Omega or Cartier, this blend requires subtlety (opt for a thin bracelet).
  • Layering yellow gold and rose gold — Contemporary stacking. The combination of two thin bracelets of different shades creates a luxurious golden gradient on the wrist.

Our gold bracelets, with a thickness varying from 1mm to 2.5mm, are proportioned to enhance your timepiece without ever overshadowing it.

Made in Dubai: The World Capital of Gold

Dubai is the historical hub of gold trade and craftsmanship. Our creations are meticulously forged by our partner goldsmith artisans from Dubai, custodians of ancestral know-how. Each piece is certified 18-carat gold (750/1000), meticulously hallmarked, delivered in its case Atelier Victor, and covered by a lifetime authenticity guarantee.

Maintaining 18-Carat Gold

18-carat gold is the most easygoing precious metal: it does not oxidize and resists fresh water perfectly.

  • Daily wear — Wear it in the shower or during sports, 18K gold does not tarnish. The natural friction of regular wear also helps to maintain its polish.
  • Cleaning — A little warm water, mild soap, and drying with a microfiber cloth are enough to restore its full shine.
  • Micro-scratches — Light scratches from daily wear are normal and contribute to the patina of the jewelry. A professional polishing in atelier will restore its mirror finish if desired.
  • Storage — Store your bracelet in its Atelier Victor case to avoid contact with other metals or hard stones.

Frequently Asked Questions — Men's 18K Gold Bracelets

The Water Resistance of 18K Gold

18K gold is a completely inert metal: it does not react to water or sweat. You can wear your bracelet in the pool, in the shower, or during sports activities without any worry. It's the absolute strength of solid gold compared to gold-plated.

Difference Between 18K and 14K Gold

18K gold (750/1000) contains 75% pure gold, compared to only 58.5% for 14K gold (585/1000). 18K gold offers a much richer, noble, and unalterable color. At Atelier Victor, all our creations are exclusively forged in 18K, the supreme standard of fine jewelry.

Pairing a Gold Bracelet with a Steel Watch

It's an extremely elegant and sought-after combination. This mix of metals creates a refined contrast that adds warmth to the wrist. The secret to a beautiful pairing lies in the balance of volumes: opt for a thin gold bracelet in yellow or rose gold to subtly accompany your steel watch.

Choosing Between Yellow Gold and Rose Gold

Yellow gold is the timeless investment par excellence, solar and timeless. Rose gold, with its coppery reflections, offers a softer and more modern alternative, especially stunning next to steel. In case of hesitation, yellow gold remains an absolute safe haven.

The Durability of Thin Gold Bracelets

Although a bracelet with a thickness of 1mm is logically more delicate than a piece of 2.5mm, the 18K alloy is structurally designed to last. For daily wear including intense physical or manual activities, we nevertheless recommend favoring thicknesses of 1.5mm and above.

Choosing the Right Bracelet Size
