Atelier Note

A steel case with a bark-finish bezel, a silvered sunburst dial, an original Milanese mesh bracelet. A hand-wound Tressa from the 1970s. Checked, delivered with its invoice Atelier Victor serving as a certificate.

A Tressa from the 1970s, chiselled steel and Milanese mesh

The 1970s saw dress watches blend into their bracelet: case and mesh formed a single line, to be worn like a piece of jewellery. This Tressa, a Swiss hand-wound watch, takes up that design, with a steel case extending seamlessly into its Milanese mesh bracelet.

The cushion case measures 25mm wide by 22mm Lug-to-lug and 7.8mm thick. Its bezel, worked with a bark finish, is covered with fine irregular striations that catch the light; the steel crown sits at 3 o'clock.

The silvered dial, with a sunburst finish, features applied baton markers, doubled at 12 o'clock, and the Tressa logo below 12 o'clock. Two baton hands, hours and minutes, can be read against this light background that follows the angle of the light.

The watch is powered by the Swiss FHF 69-21 calibre, a hand-wound mechanical movement. Its original steel Milanese mesh bracelet closes with a signed clasp and adjusts up to a 20cm wrist size.

Frequently asked questions

What is the FHF 69-21 calibre?
A Swiss hand-wound mechanical movement, in a 6¾ × 8 lignes format, produced by the Fabrique d'Horlogerie de Fontainemelon. It drives two hands, hours and minutes, with no seconds hand or date. A daily winding of a few turns of the crown is sufficient.

Is the bracelet original?
Yes. The steel Milanese mesh bracelet and its clasp are original; they adjust up to a 20cm wrist circumference.

What is meant by a bark-finished bezel?
A bezel whose steel has been worked into fine irregular striations, in the manner of tree bark. This finish catches the light and contrasts with the polish of the dial.

What wrist size is this watch suitable for?
With a width of 25mm, 22mm Lug-to-lug, and a thickness of 7.8mm, it wears close to the wrist, on a man's wrist as well as a feminine wrist; its bracelet adjusts up to 20cm.

How do delivery and payment work?
The piece is shipped with tracking and insurance by a trusted carrier, to a collection point or home delivery depending on the destination. Delivery is free.
