Seiko SQ vintage: a two-tone quartz watch with a white Roman dial

This Seiko SQ vintage watch — for « Seiko Quartz » — is an elegant dress piece with a two-tone cushion case, in steel and gold-tone bezel, with a white Roman numeral dial. From one of Seiko's earliest quartz lines, renowned for its reliability and precision, it appeals through its classicism and its beautiful two-tone contrast. Of versatile proportions, it can be worn equally well on a man's or a woman's wrist. A sober and refined Japanese watch, ideal for everyday wear.

The white dial highlights fine black Roman numerals, a precise railway minute track, and a day-date window at 3 o'clock. The « Seiko Quartz » signature and the « SQ » emblem appear on the dial. Slim gold-tone and black hands glide over the whole for clear and elegant reading. A classic and luminous dial, enhanced by the brilliance of the gold-tone bezel.

This Seiko is powered by the quartz caliber 8223, a reliable and precise analog movement with day-date display, produced by Seiko in the early 1980s. Battery-powered, it carries on the legacy of Seiko, a quartz pioneer with the Astron in 1969. A controlled movement, guaranteeing precise everyday operation, without demanding mechanical servicing.

With its 32mm case in cushion shape, in steel with gold-tone bezel, mounted on its original two-tone bracelet, this vintage watch offers a versatile and dressy format, on the wrist of both a man and a woman — a true Unisex watch. The dial, hands, and the Crystal crystal are in very good condition. The original two-tone bracelet is adjustable (length ~21cm).
