Atelier Note
A dial made of opal fragments assembled in a mosaic, with blue and green reflections. An 1980s quartz Nivada, on its original braided bracelet. Checked, delivered with its invoice from Atelier Victor serving as a certificate.
A 1980s Nivada with an opal mosaic dial
The dial of this Nivada is made of opal fragments, cut and assembled in a mosaic. Depending on the angle, each fragment shifts from deep blue to water green, with an orange touch in places: no dial of this type is identical to another.
On this mineral background, the Nivada signature sits below 12 o'clock. Four small white stones mark 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock, diamonds or simulants, to be confirmed, and two baton hands indicate the hours and minutes.
The steel cushion case measures 29mm wide, 30mm Lug-to-lug and 6.3mm thick. Its chiselled bezel extends the pattern of the braided bracelet, integrated into the case, forming a single line on the wrist. The crown sits at 3 o'clock.
Nivada, a house founded in 1879 in Granges, Switzerland, presents here a 1980s quartz piece, powered by a Japanese VX21 calibre. The braided bracelet and its clasp are original and adjust to a wrist size of up to 20cm.
