A Longines Tank from the 1980s, steel and black patinated dial
Longines, a house founded in 1832 in Saint-Imier, has signed its dials with the winged hourglass since the late 19th century. In the 1980s, it offered the rectangular watch in extra-thin steel cases, powered by Swiss quartz movements.
The black dial bears the winged hourglass and the Longines signature below 12 o'clock, with the word Quartz in cursive above 6 o'clock. Two applied Roman numerals, XII and VI, frame silver-tone baton markers; two baton hands, hours and minutes, are read against this dark background. Over the years, the black has developed a patina of brown reflections and irregular speckling, specific to this piece.
The rectangular steel case measures 25mm wide, 35mm Lug-to-lug and 5.6mm thick. Its straight brancards frame a flat polished bezel; the steel crown sits at 3 o'clock, and the caseback is in brushed steel.
The watch is powered by a Swiss quartz movement. It is fitted on a black crocodile leather strap, fastened by a steel pin Buckle, with a 20mm Lug width.

Delivery is free on all our pieces internationally. Dispatch within 48 to 72 business hours by DHL Express, Emirates Post, EMS or an equivalent carrier depending on the destination, delivery within 2 to 14 business days. Each shipment is insured and delivered against signature.
