Made in the United States in the 1940s for the Ordnance Department of the American army, this vintage Elgin watch is a true piece of history. Used by American soldiers during World War II, it was designed without compromise to offer readability, robustness, and reliability in the field, now standing as a luxury pre-owned watch with a significant heritage.
The eye is immediately drawn to its original cream dial, beautifully patinated by time and trials. It features large, highly legible Arabic numerals and an off-center seconds hand (Sub-second) at 6 o'clock. The 31mm chrome case, marked "ORD. DEPT. U.S.A." on the back, is typical of the military specifications of the time, integrating fixed lugs designed for ultimate resistance.
Powered by a manual winding mechanical movement, this historical piece is a superb men's collector's watch, equally graceful as a women's watch with its contained proportions. The accuracy of vintage watches varies according to the model, movement, and year of production. A request for accuracy improvement deemed within acceptable tolerances cannot be covered by the warranty.

After-sales service is free. Shipping fees outside the United Arab Emirates remain the responsibility of the customer.

Each watch is examined by our partner watchmakers before being sold: authenticity, component conformity, identification of any modifications or replacement of original parts.
If elements have been replaced (dial, hands, crown, bracelet), it is indicated in the product sheet.
