Seiko Quartz Vintage: a cushion-shaped gold-plated watch with Roman numerals
This Vintage Seiko Quartz watch is an elegant dress piece with a gold-plated cushion-shaped case, slender and refined, featuring a cream dial with Roman numerals. Originating from the first generations of Seiko quartz movements from the late 1970s, it captivates with its soft silhouette and ultra-thin profile. With its versatile size, it can be worn equally well on a man’s or a woman’s wrist. A sober and refined Japanese watch, ideal for everyday wear as well as evening occasions.
The cream dial highlights classic black Roman numerals around its entire perimeter, as well as the « Seiko Quartz » signature and the SQ emblem. Fine, slender black hands glide over the whole, for a clear and high-contrast reading. A luminous and dressy display, typical of Japanese watchmaking style from the late 1970s.
This Seiko is powered by the 7830 quartz caliber, launched in 1977 and renowned for its great finesse — an ultra-thin movement far ahead of its time. It notably equipped the « Chariot » line, appreciated for its elegant dress watches. Battery-powered, it carries on the legacy of Seiko, pioneer of quartz with the 1969 Astron.
