A 1984 quartz Seiko in steel, two-tone dial and integrated bracelet
The rectangular case, 29.5 mm wide, is 6 mm thick. Its chamfered corners frame a polished bezel with gold-plated edges; the brushed case middle continues seamlessly into the bracelet, attached on a 21 mm Lug width. The steel caseback bears the piece reference.
The dial plays on two tones: a central silver-tone square, with vertical brushing, set on an anthracite frame. Eleven fine gold-tone baton markers and one applied double gold-tone marker at 12 o'clock radiate across the frame. The black baton hands and the gold-tone centre seconds are read against the light square. The Seiko Quartz signature is printed below 12 o'clock, with a stylised emblem above 6 o'clock; no aperture.
Calibre 6030 is a Japanese quartz with eight jewels. The serial number places production in January, with the year estimated at 1984.
The original steel crown is set into the case middle at 3 o'clock. The watch is fitted with its original steel bracelet, with alternating brushed and polished links punctuated with gold-tone studs, adjustable up to 20 cm. With 35 mm of Lug-to-lug, it can be worn on a man's wrist as well as a woman's wrist.

Which Seiko line does this watch belong to?
The dial bears only the Seiko Quartz signature, with no line name; the reference 6030-5490 is engraved on the caseback. We do not attribute to this piece any history that we cannot verify.
The dial bears a different code from the caseback: is that normal?
Yes. At Seiko, the code printed at the bottom of the dial is that of the dial itself; the watch reference is that of the caseback, whose first group designates the calibre and the second the case.
Is the bracelet original and what size is it?
Yes. The integrated steel bracelet, with gold-tone studs, and its clasp are those of the watch; it adjusts up to a 20 cm wrist by removing links.
Is this watch suitable for a feminine wrist?
