An oval Seiko from 1983, 19 mm gold-plated case with a bezel engraved with foliage, ivory dial with Arabic numerals and sub-seconds at 6 o'clock, on black crocodile-embossed leather. Checked, delivered with its Atelier Victor invoice serving as a certificate.
An oval gold-plated Seiko, bezel engraved with foliage and sub-seconds
The 19 mm oval case is 6.5 mm thick. Its bezel, brushed and sculpted in relief with foliage curling around the opening, reveals a softened lozenge-shaped dial; four slim lugs hold the strap. Over time, the gold plating has developed a warm patina on the relief of the bezel. The steel caseback bears the reference of the piece.
The ivory dial has twelve slender black Arabic numerals following the contour of the opening. The black hands, pierced with scrollwork, stand out clearly; a sub-seconds register encircled by a railway minute track occupies the lower part of the dial, above 6. The Seiko Quartz signature is printed below 12 o'clock.
Calibre 1428 is a Japanese quartz with sub-seconds. The serial number places production in November, with the year estimated at 1983.
The original gold-tone crown sits in the caseband at 3 o'clock. The watch is fitted with a handmade black crocodile-embossed leather strap, with Buckle steel, both not original. With 31 mm lug-to-lug and 9 mm lug width, it wears well on a slim feminine wrist.

Which Seiko line does this watch belong to?
The dial bears only the Seiko Quartz signature, with no line name; reference 1428-5110 is engraved on the caseback. We do not attribute to this piece any history that we cannot verify.
Is the case solid gold?
No, the case is gold-plated with a steel caseback. The plating shows patina born of time on the relief of the bezel, visible in the photos.
Does the sub-seconds work?
Yes. Calibre 1428 drives a sub-seconds at 6 o’clock, tested together with the movement by our watchmakers.
Is the strap original?
No. The black crocodile-embossed leather strap is a handmade replacement piece, fitted with a steel Buckle. The 9 mm Lug width requires a slim strap.

After-sales service is free. Shipping fees outside the United Arab Emirates remain the responsibility of the customer.

Your Atelier Victor invoice serves as a certificate of authenticity: it attests to the origin and conformity of the piece, and is covered by our lifetime authenticity guarantee — if a piece sold by Atelier Victor were found to be non-authentic, it would be fully refunded, with no time limit.
Free delivery
Delivery is free on all our pieces internationally. Dispatch within 48 to 72 business hours by DHL Express, Emirates Post, EMS or an equivalent carrier depending on the destination, delivery within 2 to 14 business days. Each shipment is insured and delivered against signature.
