Atelier Note

A white dial signed Silverwave, applied markers, and a day display shown in English or kanji. A Seiko from 1989, on its original steel bracelet. Checked, delivered with its Atelier Victor invoice serving as a certificate.

A 1989 Seiko Silverwave, white dial, bilingual day and date

The steel case measures 36.5mm in diameter and 9.5mm thick. The lugs, at 40.5mm Lug-to-lug, take the bracelet with an 18mm Lug width; the steel crown is original, as is the caseback, also in steel.

The white dial features applied baton markers and the Silverwave signature in cursive letters, beneath the Seiko logo. The black hands are clearly legible against this light background. Dial and hands are original.

The aperture at 3 o'clock displays the day and date. The day disc is bilingual: it can be set in English or kanji, according to the wearer's choice. The watch is powered by the Seiko 8229 calibre, a day-date quartz movement; the serial number engraved on the caseback places production in October 1989.

The watch has retained its original steel bracelet and its folding clasp; it adjusts to a wrist of approximately 17.5cm. Its original papers accompany it. With a diameter of 36.5mm and a thickness of 9.5mm, it can be worn on a man's wrist as well as a woman's wrist.

Three points to note

01

Bilingual day — A day disc in English and kanji, specific to the Japanese market.

02

Silverwave signature — The name of the Seiko line, in cursive on a white dial.

03

Original bracelet and papers — The steel bracelet, its folding clasp and the watch's papers.
