Atelier Note

A green sunburst dial that shifts from bottle green to almost black depending on the light, a day-date window and the SilverWave signature. A Seiko from June 1979, on its original steel bracelet. Checked, delivered with its Atelier Victor invoice serving as a certificate.

A 1979 Seiko SilverWave, green sunburst dial and original steel bracelet

The green dial, with its sunburst finish, changes shade with every movement of the wrist: bottle green in full light, almost black in the shade. Applied steel baton markers, doubled at 12 o'clock, mark its perimeter. The Seiko Quartz signature is placed below 12 o'clock, with the SilverWave mention and its emblem above 6 o'clock. Dial and hands are original.

At 3 o'clock, a window displays the day and date. The day can be read in English or in kanji, depending on the chosen setting, a layout specific to Seiko watches designed for the Japanese market.

The steel case measures 34mm in diameter, 41mm lug-to-lug and 10.4mm thick. The steel crown is positioned at 3 o'clock; the caseback is steel. The watch is powered by the Seiko 7546 quartz calibre; the serial number engraved on the caseback dates its production to June 1979.

It is fitted with its original steel bracelet secured by a signed Buckle Seiko, adjusted for a 17.5cm wrist. With its 34mm diameter, it can be worn on a man's wrist as well as a woman's wrist.
