The two-tone elegance of a dress Seiko

This Seiko asserts a dressy and refined style thanks to its two-tone steel and gold combination. The brushed case, with a cushion shape and chamfered edges, is enhanced by a gold inner bezel that frames the dial with brilliance. Signed Seiko, a global pioneer of the quartz watch, it combines electronic precision with meticulous aesthetics. An elegant piece, with a slim profile, perfectly at ease in any circumstance.

The satin-finished silver dial features fine applied gold baton hour markers, echoing the warm tone of the bezel. The discreet double signature "Seiko Quartz" appears with understated elegance, accompanied by the Seiko emblem at 6 o'clock, while three gold hands — hour, minute, and sweep seconds — ensure precise timekeeping. The overall design embraces restraint, in the finest tradition of the dress watch.

At the heart of this Seiko beats a Japanese quartz movement, a guarantee of precision and ease of use. Seiko made horological history by launching the Astron in 1969, the world's first quartz wristwatch. Quartz offers superior accuracy to most mechanical movements: a simple battery is enough to power the watch for years, without mechanical servicing.

With its 29mm case and a profile of only 5.7mm, this Seiko is just as well suited to a man's wrist as to a woman's, in a dress and vintage register. The original dial and mineral Crystal are in very fine condition. It is fitted on its original two-tone bracelet, integrated and adjustable (up to around 21cm). The brushed case may show slight signs of wear, disclosed with complete transparency.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is this watch referred to as a “Tank” shape?
The “Tank” shape refers to dress watches with geometric lines, popularized by Cartier — the Tank is a registered house design, whose silhouette is said to have been inspired by the tanks of the First World War. The term is now commonly used to describe this type case. This Seiko is not a Cartier, but belongs to that dress spirit, in a two-tone Japanese interpretation.

What does “two-tone” mean?
A two-tone watch combines two metal shades, here steel and gold. The brushed steel case is enhanced by a gold inner bezel, and the bracelet blends both tones. This combination, very much in vogue in the 1980s, brings an elegant contrast and pairs equally well with silver-toned and gold-toned Jewelry.

What are the advantages of a quartz watch?
A quartz watch offers greater precision than most mechanical watches and requires no winding: a battery powers it for several years. It is a reliable, hassle-free solution, ideal for everyday wear.

Is the bracelet adjustable?
Yes. The original two-tone bracelet is integrated into the case and adjustable up to a wrist size of around 21 cm by removing links. Please feel free to let us know your wrist size so we can adjust it before shipping.

Is this watch suitable for a man or a woman?
It is a Unisex piece. Its very slim 29 mm case suits both men’s and women’s wrists, with a preference for slim to medium wrists. Its dressy two-tone style makes it a versatile watch, from everyday wear to more formal occasions.

What is the international delivery time?
Dispatch within 48 hours, international delivery within 3 to 5 days, insurance included.
