Seiko vintage gold-plated : a dress watch with Roman numerals
This vintage Seiko watch stands out with its twelve-sided gold-plated case, a rare faceted polygonal silhouette. Elegant and dressy, it can be worn equally well on a man's or a woman's wrist. On its white dial, black Roman numerals and the Seiko signature create a refined, graphic composition. A vintage watch with a strong character, ideal for both day and evening wear.
The white dial is enhanced by a double faceted inner railway minute track, which follows the polygonal shape of the case and frames elegant black Roman numerals. The Seiko signature appears at the center, accompanied by a stylized logo, while slender gold-tone hands — hour, minute, and seconds — glide over the whole. A well-finished, highly legible dial, typical of vintage dress watches from Seiko.
At the heart of this Seiko watch beats the caliber 2C21, a Japanese quartz movement that equipped dress watches in the 1980s. It drives the hours, minutes, and seconds with quartz precision. A quartz watch offers greater accuracy than most mechanical watches and effortless use: a simple battery is enough to power it for years, with no mechanical servicing required.
With its 32mm case and slim profile, this vintage watch is worn equally well on a man's or a woman's wrist — a true Unisex watch. The original white dial and the Crystal crystal are in very fine condition. The gold plating on the bezel shows a few traces of wear, consistent with age and disclosed transparently. The watch is fitted on a dark brown handmade crocodile leather strap, not original, with a stainless steel pin buckle.
