Seiko vintage: a gold-plated small seconds watch, a tribute to the Laurel 1913

This Seiko vintage watch, reference 2628-5000, is an elegant dress piece with a gold-plated cushion case, a white dial with Roman numerals, and small seconds. Its style is directly inspired by the Seiko Laurel of 1913 — the brand's very first wristwatch — from which it reprises the enamel dial and characteristic small seconds. With its versatile size, it can be worn equally well on a man's or a woman's wrist. A piece with retro charm and elegant legibility, ideal for everyday wear as well as for evening occasions.

The white dial, with an enamel-like finish, highlights fine black Roman numerals framed by a minute railway track, and a small seconds subdial positioned just above 6 o'clock. Beautiful blackened leaf hands sweep across the dial for clear and refined legibility. A classic and timeless dial, a tribute to the golden age of the earliest Seiko wristwatches.

This Seiko is powered by the 2628 quartz caliber, a reliable and precise analog movement with small seconds, specially designed for this dial configuration. It runs on a battery and perpetuates the legacy of Seiko, a quartz pioneer with the Astron of 1969. A tested movement, ensuring precise daily operation without demanding mechanical maintenance.

With its 28mm case in a gold-plated cushion shape, this vintage watch offers an elegant and versatile size on both a man's and a woman's wrist — a true Unisex watch. The dial, hands, and mineral Crystal are in very good condition. It is fitted with a non-original genuine crocodile leather strap, with a Buckle pin buckle.
