A vintage Seiko Noie dual time zone gold-plated watch with two dials
This vintage Seiko watch belongs to the Noie line, a collection that Seiko reserved for the Japanese market in the 1990s and 2000s. The dual time zone model is the most recognisable: two dials one above the other, each powered by its own movement. This one bears the reference 1EFW-5A00; its serial number places it in 2006.
The main dial, at the top, is white, with black Arabic numerals at the twelve hours and an inner railway minute track, signed SEIKO. The second dial, at the bottom, smaller and square, has baton markers and the N monogram of the line. The four blued hands — two per dial — are original. The first shows the local time, the second the time elsewhere.
The gold-plated case is rectangular, with a stepped bezel: 19mm wide, 40mm Lug-to-lug and 7mm thick. Two original gold-tone crowns follow one another on the right side, one for each movement. The caseback is steel, the Crystal is sapphire. The watch is presented on a later black leather strap, in Lug width of 14mm.
Both movements are Seiko quartz movements, calibres 1F21 and 1E20, each with its own battery and crown. They have been checked by our partner watchmakers, they are functional and carry a 1-year guarantee. Each dial displays the hours and minutes; there is neither date nor seconds hand, which leaves both white surfaces legible at a glance.

Frequently asked questions
How does the dual time zone work?
By two independent movements. The upper crown sets the main dial, the lower one sets the second. One is set to the time where you are, the other to that of a city you keep in mind — and both run without interfering with each other. Each movement has its own battery; they do not necessarily run down at the same time.
What is the Noie line at Seiko?
A dress collection distributed on the Japanese market in the 1990s and 2000s, with slim cases, often gold-plated, and light-coloured dials. The N monogram on the second dial is its signature. The dual-time-zone model is the one by which the line is most often identified outside Japan.
Why two crowns?
Because there are two movements. Each is set and reset separately, by its own crown. This is also what makes it possible to offset the second dial by any number of minutes, and not only whole hours.
Are the dials original?
Yes. The numeral printing is crisp, the inner railway minute track even, and the movement code appears at the bottom of the dial as on every Seiko piece from this period. The blued hands are original to the manufacture. Nothing has been retouched.
Is this piece suitable for a slim or large wrist?
With a width of 19mm, 40mm Lug-to-lug, and a thickness of 7mm, it suits wrists of around 13 to 17.5cm — a guide, never a rule: everyone wears what they like. Its length matters more than its width: at 40mm Lug-to-lug, it wears on the wrist like a 34mm round watch. The 14mm Lug width requires a slim strap.

If a watch turns out to be non-authentic, we will take it back and refund you in full. Without time limit.

Each watch is examined by our partner watchmakers before being offered for sale: verification of authenticity, checking the conformity of the components, identification of any modification or replacement of original parts.
If any element has been replaced during the life of the watch (dial, hands, crown, Crystal, strap), we systematically indicate it in the product sheet. You buy knowing the exact history of your piece.
