Seiko vintage — Gold-plated, red lacquer and black dial

This Seiko vintage watch, produced in 1982, is a women's dress watch with a strong character. Its gold-plated rectangular case is distinguished by a rare and precious detail: red lacquered side flanks, in a deep lacquer red almost burgundy, which frame the case like two bands of color. The combination of gold, red and black evokes cocktail and evening codes, in the purest Art Deco tradition.

The glossy black lacquered dial is presented with refinement. The gilded SEIKO QUARTZ signature is inscribed in a cartouche framed by a fine gilded border, which structures the dial and gives it a jewelry-like dimension. The openworked gold dauphine hands, slender and pointed, dance over the black background with elegance — a finishing detail that elevates the piece above a simple dress watch.

Powered by the Seiko 2320 caliber, a reliable and precise Japanese quartz movement, this piece with an ultra-thin 5.7mm profile is worn with the lightness of a jewel. Its compact 20mm format makes it a decidedly feminine watch, ideal for slender wrists seeking a watch with character rather than an anonymous dress watch.

Mounted on a handmade black leather strap, this Seiko is a true vintage cocktail watch — the kind of piece that stands out and is passed down. Selected piece, authenticated and serviced by Atelier Victor. Fast and secure international shipping.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What makes this Seiko special?
Its red lacquered side flanks, on a gold-plated case with a black dial. This combination of colors — gold, red, and black — is rare on a vintage watch and evokes Art Deco and cocktail codes. It is as much a decorative piece as a horological one, standing apart from classic uniform dress watches.
  • What is the Seiko 2320 caliber?
The 2320 caliber is a Japanese Seiko quartz movement from the early 1980s, powering the brand's small feminine dress watches. It is a reliable and precise caliber, easy to maintain, requiring only a battery replacement every 2 to 3 years.
  • Is this 20mm format not too small?
On the contrary: 20mm in width is the ideal format for a feminine jewel watch, in the tradition of cocktail dress watches. It is worn on slender wrists like a true accessory of elegance, discreet and refined, where a larger watch would seem out of place in the evening.
  • Is the red lacquer fragile?
The lacquer was designed to last, and that of this piece is in fine condition. Like any vintage decorative element, it deserves to be protected from shocks, but it is an integral part of the watch's character and charm.
  • What is the international delivery time?
Dispatch within 48 hours, worldwide delivery in 3 to 5 days via DHL Express, insurance included.
