The rectangular case, 24 mm wide, is 6 mm thick. Its flat, polished bezel frames the Crystal with a continuous border; the brushed sides of the case middle end, at the top and bottom, in two short attachments between which the strap fits, with no visible lugs. The steel caseback bears the reference of the piece.
The silver dial, brushed vertically, bears twelve printed black Roman numerals, tall and slender, which occupy the width of the dial. Two black baton hands are enough for legibility. The Seiko Quartz signature is printed below 12 o'clock, the Seiko monogram above 6 o'clock; no aperture, no seconds hand.
Calibre 2620 is a two-jewel Japanese quartz movement with two hands. The serial number places production in December, with the year estimated as 1979.
The original steel crown is set into the case middle at 3 o'clock. The watch is fitted on a black crocodile-embossed leather strap with Buckle steel, both not original. With 32 mm of Lug-to-lug, it can be worn on a man's wrist as well as a woman's wrist, as a dress piece in a restrained format.

In the late 1970s, Seiko developed its first small quartz calibres in flat dress cases, often rectangular, with pared-back dials. This reference 2620-5000, in steel with Roman numerals, is one expression of that in 1979, to be worn daily under a cuff as well as in the evening.

Frequently asked questions
Why does the watch not have a seconds hand?
The caliber 2620 is a two-hand quartz: hours and minutes only, which allows for a dial entirely dedicated to Roman numerals. We do not attribute to this piece any history that we cannot verify.
What is the condition of the case?
The steel case shows surface scratches from wear on the bezel and sides, visible in the photos. The Crystal is rated 9/10, and the dial and hands are original.
Is the strap original?
No. The black crocodile-embossed leather strap and its steel Buckle were fitted as replacements; the 20 mm Lug width allows for easy changing.
Is this watch suitable for a woman's wrist?
Yes. At 24 mm wide, 32 mm Lug-to-lug, and 6 mm thick, it can be worn equally well on a man's or a woman's wrist.
How do delivery and payment work?
The piece is shipped with tracking and insurance by a trusted carrier, to a collection point or home address depending on the destination. Delivery is free. Taxes and customs duties remain the responsibility of the buyer outside the area.

After-sales service is free. Shipping fees outside the United Arab Emirates remain the responsibility of the customer.

Free delivery
Delivery is free on all our pieces internationally. Dispatch within 48 to 72 business hours by DHL Express, Emirates Post, EMS or an equivalent carrier depending on the destination, delivery within 2 to 14 business days. Each shipment is insured and delivered against signature.
