Omega Seamaster automatic: a vintage steel watch
This Omega Seamaster watch is an elegant vintage automatic in steel, with a luminous silver dial. Launched in 1948, the Seamaster is one of Omega's oldest collections, renowned for its blend of robustness and elegance. Dated 1982, this dress piece looks equally at home on the wrist of a man or a woman. A Swiss-made watch, reliable and timeless, ideal for everyday wear as well as in the evening.
The silver dial highlights applied baton hour markers and the signature « Omega Seamaster Automatic ». At 3 o'clock, a day-date aperture displays the day of the week and the date, a practical complication for daily wear. Three baton hands — hours, minutes and seconds — sweep across the dial, beneath the « Swiss Made » mention. A sober, dressy dial, typical of the Seamaster of this period.
At the heart of this Omega beats the calibre 1020, an automatic manufacture movement produced by the brand during this period. Equipped with quick-set day and date, it is renowned for its robustness and reliability. Fully serviced, this proven calibre ensures precise everyday operation — a prized asset for Omega vintage enthusiasts.
With its 34.3mm case in steel, this vintage watch offers a versatile format, elegant on the wrist of a man or a woman — a true Unisex watch. The original silver dial is very well preserved; the hands show a light patina and the steel a few fine signs of wear, consistent with its age and disclosed with complete transparency. The Crystal crystal is in very good condition (9/10). It is delivered on its original steel bracelet (adjustable, extra links available on request).
