Atelier Note

A 32.5mm gold-plated case with short lugs, a golden sunburst dial, markers and hands with black inserts. An Omega De Ville from 1970, hand-wound. Serviced, delivered with its Atelier Victor invoice serving as a certificate.

An Omega De Ville from 1970, gold-plated and manual calibre 620

Omega launched the De Ville in 1960 as a dressier branch of the Seamaster, before making it a line in its own right in 1967. This reference 111.077 is its most direct expression: a round, slim case, a dial without complications, two hands.

The golden dial, with a sunburst finish, catches the light with every movement of the wrist. It features applied baton markers with black inserts, doubled at 12 o'clock, the Omega logo and signature below 12 o'clock, and the De Ville mention above 6 o'clock. The baton hands, also with black inserts, can be read at a glance against this warm background. Dial and hands are original.

The gold-plated case measures 32.5mm in diameter, 34.5mm Lug-to-lug and 7.6mm thick. Its short, almost erased lugs make it wear compactly; they hold the strap on a 17mm Lug width. The caseback is steel, the Crystal is acrylic.

The watch is powered by the Omega calibre 620, a hand-wound mechanical two-hand movement. The serial number engraved on the movement places its manufacture around 1970. It is fitted on a black crocodile leather strap, fastened by a gold-tone pin Buckle.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Omega De Ville line?
Launched in 1960 as a dressier variant of the Seamaster, De Ville became a full Omega line in 1967. It brings together the brand's de ville watches: slim cases, clean dials, designed to be worn with a suit.

Why does this watch have only two hands?
The Omega calibre 620 is a hand-wound two-hand movement for hours and minutes. Without a seconds hand, the dial remains uncluttered and the case thin. A few turns of the crown each day, until you feel resistance, are enough to keep it running.

How is this watch dated?
By the serial number engraved on the movement. At Omega, a number around 30 million corresponds to production around 1969-1970; the published tables remain estimates, as Omega did not issue an official one.

Is this piece suitable for a slim or larger wrist?
With a 32,5mm diameter, 34,5mm Lug-to-lug and 7,6mm thickness, it suits wrists of around 15 to 18cm — a guide, never a rule: everyone wears what they like. Its short lugs make it wear compactly, and the 17mm Lug width makes strap changes easy.

How do delivery and payment work?
The piece is shipped with tracking and insurance by a trusted carrier, to a pickup point or home address depending on the destination. Delivery is free. Payment by bank transfer benefits from a 3% discount.
