The couture elegance of a Parisian maison

This watch bears the signature of Nina Ricci, a Parisian couture house, in a dress and resolutely graphic interpretation. Its rectangular case combines a gold-plated bezel with fluted gold and black sides, for a striking contrast. The lacquered black dial, crossed by a fine gilded geometric frame, evokes the Art Deco spirit. A characterful piece, conceived as much as a style accessory as a watch.

The deep black dial plays the card of graphic sobriety. The maison's "N" logo crowns the top of the dial, while the signature "Nina Ricci" is inscribed in gold in the lower section. Discreet gilt baton indexes and slim gilt hands ensure the time can be read without disturbing the balance of the composition. The fine gilt outline framing the dial lends it a touch of Art Deco refinement.

Under the Crystal mineral crystal operates a Japanese quartz movement signed Seiko, the caliber 7320, found on carefully crafted dress watches such as the Dolce line. Reliable and precise, it drives the hours, minutes and seconds with the simplicity of a battery-powered movement. The industrial know-how of Seiko here guarantees proven mechanics, serving a signature design.

With its 24mm-wide case and integrated bracelet, this Nina Ricci can be worn just as well on a man's or a woman's wrist, in a dress register. The two-tone bracelet, in black PVD steel and gold-plating, harmoniously extends the design of the case. The original black dial is very well preserved; the gold-plated elements may show slight signs of wear, consistent with the age of the piece and disclosed with complete transparency.

Three points to note

  • Nina Ricci dress watch, rectangular gold-plated case and lacquered black dial in Art Deco spirit.
  • Japanese quartz movement signed Seiko, caliber 7320 (dress line).
  • Original two-tone integrated bracelet; slight signs of wear may be present on the gold-plating, disclosed without reservation.

Frequently asked questions

Who was Nina Ricci?
Nina Ricci is a Parisian fashion house founded in 1932 by Maria "Nina" Ricci and her son Robert. Celebrated for its romantic elegance and for the L'Air du Temps fragrance (1948), the house, like other labels, has extended its name to accessories and watches. This piece is an example, powered by a Japanese Seiko movement.

Is this watch made by Seiko?
The movement is a Seiko quartz caliber (ref. 7320), made in Japan, as indicated by the dial marking. Nina Ricci, as a fashion house, entrusted the production of its watches to watchmakers — here Seiko. This offers the design of a Parisian label and the reliability of a proven Japanese movement.

Is the case solid gold?
No: it is a steel case, whose bezel and certain elements are gold-plated, combined with black PVD treatment. This two-tone finish offers the brilliance of gold and the depth of black for a fraction of the price of solid gold. The plated parts may show slight signs of wear, disclosed with full transparency.

What is the Art Deco style of this dial?
Art Deco is an aesthetic movement of the 1920s-1930s, characterized by crisp geometric lines and a taste for contrast. The fine gold frame, clean lines and the black-and-gold combination of this watch reflect that spirit, in a dressy reading typical of branded watches from the 1980s.

Is this watch suitable for a man or a woman?
It is a Unisex piece. Its 24 mm wide rectangular case and integrated two-tone bracelet give it a dressy look that suits both a masculine and feminine wrist. Its black and gold dial is particularly well suited to elegant attire, by day or in the evening.

What is the international delivery time?
Dispatch within 48 hours, international delivery within 3 to 5 days, insurance included.
