A late 1960s automatic IWC, with a steel monobloc cushion case
The 35mm cushion case is 11mm thick. Cut from a single block of steel, without a screw-down caseback, it features a brushed finish running from the bezel to the sides; the integrated lugs hold the strap on a Lug width of 20mm.
The silvered dial features applied baton markers, doubled at 12 o'clock, and a fine minute track around its edge. The baton hands and centre seconds stand out against the light background. The IWC signature, International Watch Co Schaffhausen, is printed below 12 o'clock, with the word Automatic above 6 o'clock. The date window is at 3 o'clock.
Calibre 8541 belongs to the family 85 of IWC automatic movements, wound by the pawl system designed by Albert Pellaton, the company's technical director. It drives the hours, minutes, centre seconds and date.
The original steel crown sits in the caseband at 3 o'clock. The watch is fitted with a black leather strap with Buckle steel pin buckle. With a 40mm Lug-to-lug, it can be worn on a man's wrist as well as on a woman's wrist.

What is Pellaton winding?
An automatic winding system designed by Albert Pellaton, IWC's technical director: the oscillating weight drives pawls that wind the spring in both directions of rotation. It equips the calibres of the 85 family, including this 8541.
What is a monobloc case?
A case cut from a single piece, with no screw-down or snap-on caseback: the movement is installed from the front, after removing the Crystal. This construction is that of the piece presented here.
Is the strap original?
No. The black leather strap and its steel pin Buckle have been fitted as replacements; the 20mm Lug width allows easy changing.
Is this watch suitable for a woman's wrist?
Yes. At 35mm wide, 40mm Lug-to-lug, and 11mm thick, it wears equally well on a man's or a woman's wrist.
How do delivery and payment work?
The piece is shipped with tracking and insurance by a trusted carrier, to a collection point or home address depending on the destination. Delivery is free. For pieces over €1,000, payment by bank transfer benefits from a 3% discount.

The accuracy of vintage watches varies according to the model, movement, and year of production. A request for accuracy improvement deemed within acceptable tolerances cannot be covered by the warranty.

After-sales service is free. Shipping fees outside the United Arab Emirates remain the responsibility of the customer.
Authentication Process
Each watch is examined by our partner watchmakers before being offered for sale: verification of authenticity, checking the conformity of the components, identification of any modification or replacement of original parts.
If any element has been replaced during the life of the watch (dial, hands, crown, Crystal, strap), we systematically indicate it in the product sheet. You buy knowing the exact history of your piece.

Your Atelier Victor invoice serves as a certificate of authenticity: it attests to the origin and conformity of the piece, and is covered by our lifetime authenticity guarantee — if a piece sold by Atelier Victor were found to be non-authentic, it would be fully refunded, with no time limit.
Free delivery
Delivery is free on all our pieces internationally. Dispatch within 48 to 72 business hours by DHL Express, Emirates Post, EMS or an equivalent carrier depending on the destination, delivery within 2 to 14 business days. Each shipment is insured and delivered against signature.
