The history of Tudor with Rolex:
Tudor, a sister brand of Rolex, was founded in 1926 by Hans Wilsdorf, also the founder of Rolex. The creation of Tudor aimed to offer watches that benefited from the reliability and quality of Rolex, but at a more accessible price. The idea was to reach a wider audience without compromising the quality standards for which Rolex was already renowned.
Tudor watches adopted several features from Rolex, including the famous Oyster case. This case, introduced by Rolex in 1926, was a true revolution in the watchmaking world. It was the first waterproof case, an innovation that not only improved the durability of watches but also increased their functionality in extreme conditions.
Tudor Oyster watches were equipped with screw-down crowns and hermetic case backs, directly borrowing the technology developed by Rolex. This allowed Tudor to build a reputation for robustness and reliability while remaining affordable. Over the years, Tudor continued to innovate, introducing its own designs and unique features while staying true to the heritage of quality and durability of Rolex.
