This watch is a Poljot — "Flight" in Russian — the brand of the First Moscow Watch Factory, founded in 1930: the oldest of the Soviet factories, created to equip the USSR with its own watchmaking industry, and renamed Poljot in honor of Gagarin's flight — whose wrist bore a watch from this factory. Signed in Latin script, MADE IN USSR at the bottom of the dial, it is an export version from the 1960s.
Its guilloché dial gives it its texture: a lattice of fine diamonds engraved across the entire surface, worked in two zones — a central circle whose engraving reverses the light from the rest of the dial, creating a medallion that appears and disappears depending on the angle. Twelve solid gold-tone Arabic numerals adorn it, beneath the 16 jewels inscription, and two gold-tone dauphine hands with a fine seconds hand sweep across the whole.
The round chrome-plated brass case measuring 34.9mm, 8.5mm thin, features faceted lug horns — the construction detail of the sixties — and its measure of honesty: the chrome plating is worn on the lugs and bezel, marked by the decades, and our photographs show it without retouching. The crown was replaced during the watch's lifetime.
The 16-jewel hand-wound mechanical movement has been serviced by our partner watchmakers and is guaranteed for one year. The watch is fitted with a later black crocodile-style leather strap.

Who is Poljot?
“Flight” in Russian — the brand of the First Moscow Watch Factory, founded in 1930 to provide the USSR with its own watchmaking industry: the oldest of the Soviet factories. Renamed Poljot in honor of Gagarin’s flight, whose wrist wore a watch from this factory, it equipped pilots and cosmonauts and remains the most prestigious Soviet signature among collectors.
What is a guilloché dial?
A dial whose surface is engraved with a regular recessed motif — here a lattice of fine diamonds, worked in two zones whose central medallion reverses the light of the field. The guilloché catches the light differently at every angle of the wrist, and it is workmanship ordinarily found on watches far more expensive than Soviet productions.
Is the wear to the chrome plating a problem?
It is visible — on the lugs and bezel — and we prefer to show it to you rather than retouch it: our photographs document it precisely, and the price of the piece reflects it. It is the lived history of a sixty-year-old chrome-plated brass case, the standard construction of the period; the dial, for its part, has remained crisp, and it is what one looks at.
How do you wind a hand-wound watch?
Gently turn the crown clockwise, about twenty turns, until you feel resistance. Never force it beyond that point. Daily winding, at the same time of day, is enough to keep the watch running — and this one has been serviced, guaranteed for one year.
Is this piece suitable for a slim or larger wrist?
With a 34.9mm diameter, 42.8mm Lug-to-lug and only 8.5mm thick, it suits wrists of approximately 15 to 19cm — a guideline, never a rule: everyone wears what they like. Its slimness lets it slip under a shirt cuff, and its articulated lugs give it its sixties poise. The Lug width measures 18mm, making it easy to change the strap.
Mechanical warranty — 1 year
Each watch is inspected by our watchmakers before shipping. In case of a mechanism malfunction during the first year, we cover the repair.
Authenticity warranty — lifetime
If a watch turns out to be non-authentic, we will take it back and refund you in full. Without time limit.

The accuracy of vintage watches varies according to the model, movement, and year of production. A request for accuracy improvement deemed within acceptable tolerances cannot be covered by the warranty.

After-sales service is free. Shipping fees outside the United Arab Emirates remain the responsibility of the customer.

Each watch is examined by our partner watchmakers before being offered for sale: verification of authenticity, checking the conformity of the components, identification of any modification or replacement of original parts.
If any element has been replaced during the life of the watch (dial, hands, crown, Crystal, strap), we systematically indicate it in the product sheet. You buy knowing the exact history of your piece.

Delivery is free on all our pieces internationally. Dispatch within 48 to 72 business hours by DHL Express, Emirates Post, EMS or an equivalent carrier depending on the destination, delivery within 2 to 14 business days. Each shipment is insured and delivered against signature.
