This watch is a Pobeda — ПОБЕДА, “Victory” — the Soviet brand launched in 1946 to celebrate the victory of 1945, and which became one of the most emblematic of the USSR: a simple, robust watch, produced by the millions for the people. The mention Сделано в СССР at the bottom of the dial attests to its origin.
And on this particular Pobeda: Donald Duck. The duck in a sailor shirt and blue beret, printed in color at the heart of the white dial, surrounded by twelve solid black Arabic numerals — the Hollywood character placed on the watch of Soviet Victory, signed in Cyrillic. No license is documented for these dials, and we prefer to tell you so: it is precisely this paradox — the American icon on the Soviet object — that makes it an absolute conversation piece, sought after by collectors of curiosities.
The round steel case of 29.2mm, with openworked lugs, bears the compact Pobeda format; three classic black hands sweep over the duck.

That is the whole enigma — and the whole charm. No Disney licence is documented on these dials, produced in the USSR with the Pobeda signature and the mention « Сделано в СССР »: Hollywood's duck placed on the watch of Soviet Victory, with no known authorisation from either side. How do you wind a hand-wound watch?
Gently turn the crown clockwise, about twenty turns, until you feel resistance. Never force it beyond that point. Daily winding, at the same time each day, is enough to keep the watch running — and this one was serviced in 2024, guaranteed for one year.

If any element has been replaced during the life of the watch (dial, hands, crown, Crystal, strap), we systematically indicate it in the product sheet. You buy knowing the exact history of your piece.
