Atelier Note
A dial woven like a cloth of golden linen, beneath two black hands — the De Ville from 1970, the elegance Omega signed without a word too many.
A 1970 De Ville, with a golden linen dial
This Omega watch is a De Ville, reference 111.077 — the line born in 1960 within the orbit of the Seamaster and made autonomous in 1967, with a clear purpose: to be Omega's elegant line, the quintessential de ville. Its serial number, in the 31 million range, dates it to 1970: on a mechanical Omega, the year is not an estimate, it is a reading.
The dial is what sets it apart: its golden surface is linen-textured — a fine crosshatched weave like that of a fabric, catching the light in interwoven threads of gold. It is one of the most sought-after finishes of the De Ville from this period. The applied baton hour markers, enhanced by a black insert, and the two matching baton hands stand out against it with ink-like clarity.
The round gold-plated case, with short lugs that are almost erased, measures 33mm with a 7.3mm thickness — the watch slips under a cuff without a thought. The golden crown and the acrylic Crystal were replaced during the watch's life, which we make clear.
The Omega calibre 620, a mechanical hand-wound movement, is an in-house movement renowned for its reliability — two hands, no complication, the essentials done well. It has been serviced by our partner watchmakers and is guaranteed for one year.

02
Dated to 1970 by its serial number — on a mechanical Omega, the year can be read from the movement.
03
Serviced calibre 620 — the house's hand-wound two-hander, guaranteed for one year.
Why choose a vintage Omega De Ville?
This pre-owned Omega watch holds a precise place among men's and women's vintage watches: its 33mm case with softened lugs can be worn by either, in the purest dress-watch register — the De Ville is the line Omega dedicated to the city, and its linen dial places it above the standard versions. A vintage mechanical watch from a great house, at an accessible entry point into antique Omega.
Like all our vintage mechanical watches, this one has been opened and checked by our partner watchmakers: verification of the calibre and its consistency with the reference, examination of the dial, hands and case. Every vintage Omega watch we offer comes with an Atelier Victor invoice serving as a certificate, a one-year guarantee, and guaranteed lifetime authenticity.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Omega De Ville line?
It is the line that Omega dedicated to the de ville watch: born in 1960 within the Seamaster, it became independent in 1967 to become the elegant line of the house — slim, streamlined watches designed for suiting rather than sport. The De Ville from the 1960s and 1970s are today one of the safest ways into vintage mechanical Omega.
What is a linen dial?
It is a dial whose surface is textured with a fine, regular crosshatched pattern, like that of a linen weave. From afar, it appears uniformly golden; up close, the weave emerges and gives the light a fabric-like grain that no smooth dial can produce. This finish, demanding to execute, is one of the most sought-after on the De Ville of this period — this one is intact.
Why does this watch have only two hands?
By design choice: the calibre 620 is a two-hand movement, without a seconds hand, which lets the linen dial breathe and slims the case. It is the most pared-back expression of the dress watch — the time at a glance, nothing more. A daily winding of around twenty turns of the crown, without forcing it, is enough for the day.
The crown and the Crystal are not original: is that a problem?
No, and we state it precisely because it is common: on a watch more than fifty years old, the crown and Crystal are wear parts, replaced during servicing. What matters most — the linen dial, the hands, the case and the calibre — is original and correct. Our photographs show the watch exactly as it is.
Is this piece suitable for a slim or larger wrist?
With a 33mm diameter, 34mm Lug-to-lug and 7.3mm thickness, it suits wrists of approximately 15 to 18cm — a guideline, never a rule: everyone wears what they like. Its almost erased lugs make it wear compactly, with a very rounded profile, and its slimness lets it slip under a cuff. The Lug width measures 16mm, which makes it easy to change the strap.
