Atelier Note
Four point three millimetres, Crystal included, barely more than two two-euro coins stacked one on top of the other: brushed gold-tone like pale wood, twelve markers, two hands, and the two-tone bracelet with which it left Biel in 1989.
An Omega De Ville quartz from 1989, reference 395.0875.2, ultra-thin in gold-plated finish on its original two-tone bracelet
This Omega De Ville, reference 395.0875.2, dates from 1989. The De Ville was born in 1960 as a dress watch before becoming, in 1967, a line in its own right, that of Omega's de ville watches; in the 1980s, it became the house's field for ultra-thin quartz watches, where slimness became the selling point. This one is a perfect illustration: 4.3mm Crystal included, a gold-plated case of 32.2mm, a brushed golden dial, two hands, and the Omega 1378 calibre, quartz. It is fitted with its original two-tone bracelet, steel and gold-plated, with its original Buckle.
Its original golden dial is brushed vertically, a fine grain running from top to bottom like the grain of pale wood. Twelve applied baton hour markers, doubled at 12 o'clock, two original golden baton hands, and nothing else: no seconds hand, no date. The Ω and Omega beneath the 12, Swiss Made at the bottom.
The gold-plated case of 32.2mm, 35.2mm Lug-to-lug for 4.3mm thick, features a slim bezel, short lugs, a steel caseback, an original golden crown and a mineral Crystal. The Omega 1378 calibre, quartz, has been checked by our partner watchmakers and is guaranteed for one year. The watch is fitted with its original two-tone bracelet, polished steel links between two gold-plated rows, with its original Buckle, for a wrist up to 18cm.

Why choose an Omega De Ville quartz?
This Omega De Ville quartz holds a precise place among vintage men's and women's watches : its 32.2mm can be worn equally well by either men or women, and it offers the very best of quartz, with consistent precision and a slimness that few mechanical movements achieve, in a complete Omega dress watch, including its original bracelet and Buckle. An Omega pre-owned watch for everyday wear, slim and precise.
Like all our vintage quartz watches, this one has been opened and checked by our partner watchmakers: movement inspection, examination of the dial, hands and case. Every vintage watch we offer comes with an Atelier Victor invoice serving as a certificate, a one-year guarantee, and lifetime authenticity guaranteed.

Frequently asked questions
What is Omega's De Ville?
Omega's de ville line: born in 1960 as a dress Seamaster, it became a collection in its own right in 1967 and, in the 1980s, the showcase for the house's ultra-thin watches, first mechanical and then quartz. This one, from 1989, is an example: 4.3mm thick, including Crystal.
Is a quartz Omega a vintage watch?
Yes, by age: it is more than thirty-five years old. In the 1970s and 1980s, quartz was Omega's choice for its finest and most precise watches. It runs on a battery.
Is the bracelet original?
Yes, with its Buckle: a two-tone Omega bracelet, steel links between two gold-plated rows, left on the watch since 1989. Its plating shows wear from use, as our photographs show. It fits a wrist of up to 18cm maximum; the Lug width of 17mm allows a leather strap to be fitted.
Can it be worn every day?
Yes, that is its purpose: a slim and precise watch, on its original bracelet, that disappears under a cuff. Like any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water, as its water resistance is not guaranteed, and from magnets.
Is this piece suitable for a slim or larger wrist?
With a diameter of 32.2mm, a Lug-to-lug of 35.2mm and a thickness of 4.3mm, it suits wrists of approximately 15 to 18cm, the limit of the original bracelet — a guide, never a rule: each person wears what they like.
