About the brand Breitling :
Breitling is a Swiss watch brand founded in 1884 by Léon Breitling. In its early years, the company produced pocket chronographs and measuring instruments for professionals such as pilots and scientists.
At the beginning of the 20th century, Breitling focused on the production of wristwatches, using high-quality Swiss movements. The brand quickly became popular among pilots and aviators thanks to its watches equipped with chronographs and special counters for measuring time and distance in flight.
In the 1940s, Breitling developed its famous Navitimer model, a watch equipped with a circular slide rule for aeronautical navigation calculations. The Navitimer became one of the most emblematic watches of Breitling and was used by many famous pilots and aviators.
In the 1970s, Breitling experienced a difficult period due to competition from the Japanese watch industry, but the brand succeeded in reinventing itself by offering more modern and sportier watches. In the 1980s, Breitling also launched its Aerospace line, which introduced innovative technologies such as LCD displays and electronic timekeeping functions.
In the 1990s, Breitling became a globally recognized luxury brand, with a range of high-end watches for professionals and watch enthusiasts. Today, Breitling is considered one of the most prestigious brands in Swiss watchmaking, with a heritage rich in innovation, precision, and style.
